European Pirate Report, from Dunlo, PA, USA, 26-27 May 2007
Since Free Radio Holland was scheduled to be on the air and Orion R. was going to make another transmission just above 60 meters, I decided to take the rig up to the remote site in the evening. I got set up and started listening by 2155. It was noisy as I knew it would be from thunderstorms in the n...

6310.32 Cupid R. Bits of audio at 2227 and definitely Rinus at 2228 w/anmnt. He confirmed it in a chat shortly later. Played a song for George Maroti and myself at 2258. Song by No Doubt at 2300. Long anmnt at 2309-2316, and off. Fady signal. Getting some UTE QRM from both sides at times and also so...

6305.54??? 5 May 2007
For the last 10 minutes or so (its now 2132 UTC), I've been hearing a signal on 6305.54. No audio yet but its still a bit early here. I suspect its a pirate. I'll keep tuned and see if it becomes audible. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

European Pirate Report from Dunlo, PA, USA, 29 April 2007
6220.17 Mystery R. Hrd with audio as early as 2038, 3 and a half hours before sunset. Came back at 2110 and not much better; Pop Dance songs, and canned Mystery R. ID at 2121, and again at 2143. Listened to 2208 and didn’t recognize one song. Really fady signal with the usual local TVI. Thought th...

6310 UNID.
Yesterday (21 April UTC) I was able to turn the radio on for a few minutes and heard an UNID. on 6310. I got there too late and it signed off at 2339 UTC. Was this R. Odyssey?? Also had Cupid R. 6265.14 and WMR 6400.3 at the same time, both IDed. Mystery R. was doing well on 6220+. Wish I could be m...

I don't think there ever was a hoax station. George Maroti thought there might be one when WMR showed up slightly below their old 6401.07 freq a few weeks ago. According to George, Jack e-mailed saying it really was WMR on 6400.7 using a different crystal. So I believe this is just WMR with another ...

European Pirate Report from Dunlo, PA, USA, 11 March 2007
Horrible conditions prevailed again this weekend, presumably due to the low Solar Flux and A Index. The geomagnetic field wasn't stormy but the K Index had jumped up from 1 to 3 during this Sunday morning. As a result, only a few things were heard. Because of the poor conditions, I decided it wasn't...

European Free Radio Report from Dunlo, PA, USA, 4 March 2007
Very little to report this time because of poor conditions. 15070.14 Cupid R. 1440 just getting some weak music at t/in, then an anmnt at 1441, picked up a little at 1442. Another anmnt at 1450, then really dropped down for a long time. Suddenly came up out of nowhere at 1517 w/Madonna song. Someone...

6264.96 UNID. 3 March 2007
I was just listening to someone on 6264.96 from 2300-2315*. Just not strong enough to cut through the local noise here. Seemed like a very brief announcement before it went off at 2315 UTC. Anyone have any idea who this was?? Premier R. Int. maybe??
Thanks for your help.

6307.5 UNID. 1 March UTC
Was surprised to find a station on 6307.49 right now (from 0010 UTC onward). Its 0018 UTC at the moment. I know its very late at night in Europe and wonder who could be here??? Did get an announcement at 0013 but couldn't copy because of local interference. Any ideas????? Thanks for your help. Oh, b...

15070.1 R. Scotland Int. 1458 getting a carrier and apparent start at 1500. Couldn’t recognize the song. As usual, the lcl ticking QRM was here along w/some nasty buzzing that the noise blanker couldn’t eliminate. Barely any audio by 1517. Sounded like an anmnt at 1524. Drifted down to 15070.07 ...

Yes Johan, I was shocked (to say the least) at how late the stations were coming in. As a matter of fact, it was already starting to get light out with the sun rising here while Radio Borderhunter was still audible!! I was getting audio at 1115 UTC which is only a hour before our sunrise!!!! Very st...
